Elegant Sapphire and Diamond drop earrings replicating the Victorian Era using antique gemstones. The piece was expertly constructed about 25 years ago.

The sapphires are almost a Kashmir color showing a vivid blue.

The sapphires are held in by 11 prongs and surrounded by a halo of old mine cut diamonds.

Popular at the time, and really quite timeless in form and design, these earrings are elegant yet simple enough to be worn day to day.

The original design request for this pair of earrings was to take inspiration from Princess Diana's engagement ring which is again popular as it was also used by Prince William to propose to Kate Middleton. The ring was based on a Garrard Jewelers (The jeweler for the royal crown) version 1735 engagement design.
