This is a simple Victorian solitaire ring. It was originally set with a diamond that was chipped. We removed the diamond and set it much lower with an antique sapphire from a piece we couldn't restore. Most modern engagement rings are assembled in pieces with a head that gets soldered to the band. What I love about this ring is that the prongs are seamlessly part of the ring.

This ring is made by Ostby & Barton established 1879 - 1950: 118 Richmond St. Providence 2 RI.
