Hallmarked 1851, this Victorian ring flaunts a slice of Lapis Lazuli.  At first glance this Lapis shines like blue enamel but a closer look reveals the gold specks in this gem.  Original to the ring and perfectly matched to the frame, this shield shaped Lapis sits low on the finger.

If this piece was not marked you would think it was 18k yellow gold due to the rich, deep yellow color. Most 9k jewelry has a pinkish hue to it because of the alloys that are used but this one is a beautiful blend giving it the yellow color. And the subtle detail of the concaved shoulders that meet the top diminish the chunky feel of a traditional signet style ring.
