Here is a Georgian knot ring dating to 1818 that would be a wonderful commitment or friendship ring. This knot is made of of hollow construction and in incredible condition for being 200 years old. The hollow tubed wires were hand forged into the ring. These lovers knots were worn as wedding bands as the two lovers merged as one.

Part of the design of this ring has 2 depressions on the top plate, they are not dents but part of the pattern of this ring. The same design element are on the shoulders as well. This period jewelry typically had a "gold wash" that was a process that dipped the finished jewelry into a higher karat gold giving it the appearance of a sandblasted 18k yellow gold finish. Due to the age and polishing of this ring through the years, the gold wash remains on the repousse part of the ring but not on the areas that have been polished, those areas show more pink gold, the true color of the 9k gold.
