Late Victorian diamond drop earrings. This Old European Cut diamonds are set in a six prong buttercup head that simply drop off of an ear wire.

These diamonds were cut by a master diamond cutter and maximize the dispersion of light.

A "Natural" is the skin of a diamond left onto a cut stone. It sometimes looks like a chip but when you a closer look, using a microscope, you will see it looks like a crystal. The reason why this is left on the stone by the diamond cutter is so that it retains more weight in the stone.
