This unique Art Nouveau crescent moon has the color of spring with robins egg blue on the petals of the flowers. The gold moon has a richer color due to the gold wash typical of these antique pieces.
Symbolism during this period was important to the wearer and this crescent moon hugging the flowers also called a honeymoon brooch was for a bride to wear on her honeymoon.
