This 90 year old ring holds a large oval faceted Aquamarine instead of the traditional Emerald Cut. The stone is bezel set it in a hand made mounting. The mounting has the pierced filigree work distinct to the art deco period. This aquamarine is a very bottom heavy stone with a lot of its weight in the depth. The culet, or point of the gemstone, touches the skin, as it is deeper than the gallery of the mounting.
