This is truly a rare find. This Philip II 24k Gold Ancient Macedonian Coin dates back to 359 BC when "Philip II King of Macedonia issued gold staters to pay the many Celtic mercenaries to help him achieve his conquests and ever-expanding kingdom, as this expert coin guide from Baldwin's reveals." One side depicts the head of Apollo and the other depicts Zeus, the King of Gods, riding his chariot and the name Philip in Greek letters.

This mounting is also an antique in 22k gold. The mounting and coin show wear but are still in extremely nice condition. The chunky bezel has protected this coin nicely and the tapered shank positions the ring for comfort.
