This piece of history is a beautiful hommage to the dead.  This ring is a Georgian Memento Mori white enamel ring inscribed with “MARY.ROLLS.DIED 24.JAN.1806 AGED.25”in fitted box marked James Robb & Son. Who is Mary Rolls, and why did she die so young?  Typically the dressing of mourning jewelry is black along with the style of clothing.   This white enamel ring is indicative of a virgin and/or being unwed.

This ring is beautifully set with a sugarloaf garnet surrounded by natural pearls and appears in original condition.  This is an extremely rare example of this style and period.
