Here is a vintage Harem 5 band ring. I love these old harem stacking bands. They are sometimes difficult to date but this piece is set with early cut stones. The three center bands hold turquoise alternating with paste stones. The outer bands are set with chrysoprase alternating with paste stones.

Chrysoprase is also known as green onyx, it has a slightly translucent green color that looks lovely next to the opaque blue of the turquoise. Paste is the predecessor to what we know of in the 20th century as cubic zirconia.
